One of the joys of being a portrait artist is getting to spend time with so many different families, of all different sizes and dynamics. It's always a little nerve racking for parents to get everybody in the right clothes, with hair in place, and on time, but it is an amazing moment when a family comes together for a portrait. Everyone puts aside whatever squabbles they might be having and puts his or her best foot forward. Grouping everyone together in the way that best shows off the family unit is one of my favorite jobs.
I am thankful that I get to do what I love everyday. Thank you for trusting me with such an important task, to document the family bond with a portrait that will be handed down for generations to come. Happy Thanksgiving!
